I purchased a Pure Evoke 2S, and was quite surprised at how expensive the device is. It appears that being an early adopter has its price. Interestingly, I purchased the device from the ABC Shop and after setting it up the only stations that I could not get were the ABC stations. The Evoke 2S has a signal strength meter and this was very useful when trying to see why the ABC radio channels were absent. The ABC signal was too low for the Evoke 2S to lock on. Moving the Evoke 2S next to a window solved the problem and the ABC radio signal strength was now just enough for the signal to be recognised and played.
There is no doubt that the signal is clear and better than AM and FM, but I think it was also obvious that the transmission bit rate was low as the quality is far below CDROM standard.
Have you purchased a digital radio? Please tell me your thoughts so far.
regards, Mark
