Marconi-OMS 1240

Hello,i'm new to this forum i have a problem with an SDH optical network.The network uses an stm-16 signal (about 2.5Gbit/sec) and consist of 3 point to point stations (Marconi-Oms 1240).i get two alarms on the middle station.

1)Dccm Lapd fail

2)Dccm crc errors

the outcome is that the stream is not affected by the alarms.I have no BER at my frames.No channel fails.I just can't log in remotely to the terminal station.Some how the station i can' log in remotely,loses the timer.

Hi Deus, Its bit late but I just visit this forum today, About your first query "Dccm Lapd fail" is that your node doesn’t manageable from Network management system that's the resone you do not have remote access to the terminal any more. You need to check how your node linked to the as your error it is "Lapd" it is mean it is not fixed vc12 comm. link it is basic lt.Got comm. through STM or your transmission link at both end at hub side and network side there is some configuration required for communication as user or network you need to check that it is still there or deleted some how. I do not know much about Marconi that's why I can’t help you any more what configuration you need to check in system. Your 2nd query is seems to me related to your first problem so check first I hope it should fixed as well.
