Control Plazmas through Broadcasting

Hi all,

I am working in a school, they are planning to put plasmas all over.I want a concrete solution for that as we will have more plasma in future in next building. What I am looking for is I want to control all plasmas through broadcast server (they are looking for cheaper sollution and for that reason they might not spend money behind Windows media player). I had a quote from one of the retailer but it was not worth of that much. Any suggestion is welcome.

Thanks

Re: Control Plazmas through Broadcasting

Hi Bhavit,

I'm guessing that all of the plasmas would be showing the same video?

If this is the case then you can get HDMI to cat 5/6 converters and cat5/6 to HDMI and then you will be able to distribute from a central source to all the plasmas. They have very cheap HDMI to cat 5/6 and vice versa devices at Jaycar.

You would then need a HDMI splitter to send a source video to all the plasmas.

I'm not sure if this is the scenario that you're looking at.

regards, Mark

Re: Control Plazmas through Broadcasting

Hi Bhavit,

go to Jaycar or call them and ask to see the devices there. Also, a google seearch will show a lot of cheap equipment that can be used for video distribution to plasma screens using cat 5/6

regards, Mark
