i am new in networking domain so i dont know a lot, i want to know if it is true to connect the enterprise network to the outside word from access layer (access mean where users are connected through c2960 switch) to let you know the enterprise use the hierarchical model, core ,distribution and access. the connection to the out is pulic ip addess

if someone have an idea please help and thanks a lot in advence .
