CCNA good place to start?

HI im contemplating starting a CCNA course i was wondering if this is a good place to start in becoming a network engineer.

the course for my area is 16mnths during which about the 8-10 month period i want to take on another qualification to tie in with this one, so they overlap eachother.

for my other course choice i have no idea what to do, if someone could help me out with whats needded qualifcation wise to become successful in this field

Thanks

Hi, you do not mention your background so I will try to answer your question by making assumptions. If your working now and did not do a bachelor of engineering degree then a CCNA is a good option for you. If you did a bachelor of engineering degree then you have the option of doing a postgraduate degree and the CCNA at the same time.

If you're currently working then consider what the company would like you to do and they may support you with time release or some funding.

regards, mark
